KEY FEATURES OF BATTERY HOLDER 6 X AA WITH DC PLUG:
- Holds six AA batteries
- 9V Output
- Standard 2.1mm DC power plug
- 6″ cable length
These are a handy way to supply power to a robotic assembly or to provide mobile power for a project such as if you want to pack an Arduino or solderless breadboard around to test wireless communications. The batteries are connected in series, so 6 AA batteries provides around 9V depending on the type of battery that they are.
The holder has a 6″ cable that ends in a standard 5.5mm(OD) x 2.1mm (ID) DC power plug which can be plugged directly into an Arduino power jack. This can also be cut off if it is desired to wire directly into a terminal block.
A similar product with heavier construction and 24AWG wire with right angle connector that can provide more clearance in tight spaces is also available at the bottom of this page.
We also sell a standard 9V battery adapter which works well for low current applications, but this 6 x AA setup provides considerably more power capability and is suitable for driving smaller DC motors such as those found on our robotic vehicle platforms.
There are two holes for mounting the assembly or double-sided tape or Velcro can be used.
Notes:
- Batteries not included
