Description
The Teensy Audio boards supports 1 of these 8-pin 1M-bit (128kByte) SRAM chips to add a multi-tap delay line.
PACKAGE INCLUDES:
- Microchip 23LC1024T SMD IC
KEY FEATURES OF 1M-bit SRAM:
- 1M-bit (128 kByte) serial memory
- SPI Interface
- 20MHz clock rate
- 3.3V and 5V compatible
The Teensy 3.x and 4.x Audio Adapters provide an easy way to add high quality 16-bit 44.1kHz sample rate (CD quality) audio capability to the Teensy boards using the Teensy Audio Library.
The Teensy Audio Library can use this SRAM chip for a multi-tap delay line of up to 1.5 seconds for various sound effects. This demo video shows the delay feature in operation.
The 8-pin footprint for the IC is on the bottom side of the board. If using a memory chip, it is easiest to solder it on before any headers are added to the board for best access.
When soldering the IC, be sure to observe the correct polarity of the part. The white dot on the board silkscreen denotes pin 1. The dimple on the IC package denotes pin 1 of the IC.
