Description
These 2-position medium duty screw terminals fits standard 0.2″ hole spacing for connecting wires to a PCB.
PACKAGE INCLUDES:
- Qty 5 – Screw Terminal 5.08mm 2-Position
KEY FEATURES OF SCREW TERMINAL 5.08MM 2-POSITION:
- Accept up to 16 gauge wire
- Stack end-to-end
These are medium duty 2-position screw terminals that can accept up to a maximum of 16 AWG wire..
These are typically used with PCB prototype boards and work well for low to medium power connections such as connecting to wiring for smaller DC motors as used on robotic vehicles or connecting to power supplies. They can also be used for connecting to sensor wiring.
The solder pins are 0.040″ in width, so will fit most standard perf or solder breadboard but may be a little snug.
The housings have a tongue and groove on the sides which allow them to be stacked end-to-end to create longer terminal strips. The terminals are stacked by sliding the tongue and groove together and can be stacked before soldering them to the PCB. They can also be stacked while soldering if working from right to left while facing the terminal opening.
The 2-position and 3-position terminal strips can be mixed together to form any length of terminal strip needed.
Basic size comparison and wire lead entry of the 2.54mm and the blue and green 5.08mm screw terminals that we have on the website are shown to the right. This green 5.08 version is more beefy than the blue version, but also requires more space both vertically and front to back.
