Nylon Adhesive PCB Standoff 3x8mm (10-Pack)

Description

These adhesive backed standoffs are useful for providing semi-permanent mounting of small circuit boards or the release liner can be left on to provide feet for a movable PCB assembly on the benchtop.

The standoffs fit smaller M3 size holes like our 7-Segment LED board with a snug fit.  If used with larger M3.5 holes like found on our MCU Proto Boards, they provide a loose fit, but still lock the board in place.

The universal perf style proto boards have varying sizes of mounting holes.  These standoffs will typically work with 12x18cm or larger boards, but smaller boards usually have M2 or M2.5 holes and will not work with these standoffs.

The low profile post height is 8.3mm (0.33″) from the base of the adhesive to the shoulder that the PCB rests on.

The base is fairly small at 13 x 13mm for tighter spaces.  The base can be easily cut smaller for clearance but with some loss of adhesion.

The adhesive bonds fairly well to the surfaces we tried them on.  It is always a good idea to clean surfaces with isopropyl alcohol first to remove any contaminates to help ensure a good bond.  Shiny plastic surfaces may benefit from a slight scuffing first to provide more bite for the adhesive.
