Description

These are high quality 1×50 selective gold plated phosphor bronze male headers that can be easily cut or snapped to the length required.

KEY FEATURES OF HEADER MALE 1×50 SELECTIVE GOLD BREAK-AWAY:

• 1×50 Male header with standard 2.54mm (0.1″) spacing
• Gold plated contacts
• Matte tin plated solder tails
• Phosphor bronze construction

The short side pins are designed to be soldered to a PCB.  The matte tin plating provides for optimum solderability and no chance of gold embrittlement of the soldered connection.

The long side 0.025″ square male pins are gold plated for optimum conductivity and corrosion protection and mate with solderless breadboards and female headers.

These 50-pin strips can be easily snapped or cut into whatever lengths of pins that are needed for the project by using pliers or diagonal cutters.

When soldering these headers onto a board like a microcontroller, it is easiest if you first insert the headers into a solderless breadboard in order to hold the headers aligned during the soldering process.
