Extended Header and Socket Set 2×3 2mm

Description

This is a set of extended reach 2×3 male and female header with 2mm spacing.  These are used to bring the Teensy 4.1 ethernet connection down from the bottom of the Teensy 4.1

PACKAGE INCLUDES:

• Qty 1 – Header Male extended 2×3, 2mm
• Qty 1 – Header Female Low Profile 2×3, 2mm

USING THE EXTENDED HEADER AND SOCKET SET 2×3, 2MM:

The Teensy 4.1 uses a 2×3, 2mm spacing header location to bring out the wired ethernet.  This location can have a male header installed on top and use an IDC cable to connect to a separate Magjack module as used with the Ethernet Module kit that is available.

This connector combination allows the ethernet to instead be brought down from the bottom of the Teensy 4.1 when mounted on boards that have this location footprinted on them like our Prototyping System for the Teensy 4.1.

The female connector is typically soldered to the bottom of the Teensy 4.1.

The male connector is typically soldered to the baseboard.  The extended reach of the male pins allow the ethernet connections to mate when used with standard height female headers to socket the Teensy 4.1
