These budget friendly inexpensive Banana Plug connectors come in both red and black for making jumper and test cables.

The tips on these banana jacks provide a snug fit into mating female banana jacks.

A set screw that is accessible through the side of the banana plug housing is used to clamp the plug onto a wire.  The banana plug can handle up to 12AWG wire.

There is a hole in the side of the banana plug that allows you to insert another banana plug that makes them stackable at right angles to each other.

Our Evaluation Results:

These banana plugs work well in many low power applications and we use them to build custom test cables for our own use in-house using the ultra flexible silicon wire that we sell.  Since the screw clamp is accessible on the side of the connector housing, they should not be used for higher voltages (>48) where accidental contact may cause a shock or where it may present a shorting hazard.

Also note that the plastic housing is held in place by the same screw that clamps the wire.  When clamping larger gauge wire, the housing may feel a little loose since the screw clamps down on the wire before it tightens fully onto the plastic housing, but it will still be securely held in place.
