These nice quality panel mount banana jacks come in a 3-pack with red, green and black jacks.  The body is a light gray with a colored ring on the top and provide a nice look for a cosmetic application.  The green jack is sometimes used for chassis ground or as the common terminal in a dual +/- output power supply.

Unlike some inexpensive banana jacks, the 4mm female socket is formed directly into shaft for best electrical contact rather than in the threaded top piece.  The shaft and threads are all nickel plated brass and attachment hardware is M5 nuts.

The top of the banana jack accepts a standard 4mm banana plug or it can be tightened down on a larger 1/4″ ring  or spade terminal.  Wire attachment on the bottom portion of of the jack can be made by soldering to the tip portion or a ring terminal can be attached under the locking nuts.     Note that there is no pass-thru hole for clamping down onto a bare wire.

These jacks are a medium duty type and handy for making audio, logic connections or low to medium power custom power supplies or test fixtures.
