These nice quality heavy-duty panel mount banana jacks come in a 2-pack with both red and black jacks.

Unlike some inexpensive banana jacks, the 4mm female socket is formed directly into shaft for best electrical contact rather than in the threaded top piece.  The shaft and threads are all nickle plated brass and attachment hardware is M6 nuts.

The top of the banana jack accepts a standard 4mm banana plug or it can be tightened down on a larger 1/4″ ring  or spade terminal.  There is also a 2.5mm hole for clamping down on a bare wire. Wire attachment on the bottom portion of of the jack can be made using a ring or spade terminal under the locking nuts.

For maximum current handling capability, the proper size wire and spade or ring terminals need to be used with the clamping action on both the top and bottom of the binding post.  When using the banana jack connection, the current typically needs to be limited to 15A or less depending on the particular banana plug and wire used to make the connection.

These jacks are a heavy duty type and work well for higher power custom power supplies or test fixtures.
