The 1N4003 are a very commonly used power diode and are often used for reverse voltage protection on DC input circuits and also used in many power applications such as DC-DC converters.
The 1N4003 can handle up to 200V reverse voltage and up to 1A of continuous current with a surge peak of 30A. If a higher reverse voltage is needed, check out our 1N4004 that can handle 400V.
1N4003 are polarized axial-leaded devices with a silver band denoting the cathode end of the diode.
