Description
This 400 tie-point solderless breadboard adapter makes it easy to work with temporary solderless breadboard circuits when using the Mini Platform for Teensy 4.1.
PACKAGE INCLUDES:
- Solderless Breadboard Adapter – Fully assembled
KEY FEATURES OF SOLDERLESS BREADBOARD ADAPTER:
- Uses the Pro Line 400 tie-point solderless breadboard with phosphor bronze contacts
- Female header on end of breadboard give access to all GPIO connector I/O pins
- Allows circuits can remain intact when removed from system
- Power rails are pre-wired
- 3.3 or 5V power select jumper for each power rail
- Fully assembled
The Mini Platform Solderless Breadboard Adapter plugs into the IDC GPIO connector on the Mini Platform for Teensy 4.1 and mounts a 400 tie-point high quality solderless breadboard for building and working with temporary circuits.
The breadboard adapter has jumpers to select either 3.3V or 5V power for each of the power rails.
These are the Teensy 4.1 pins accessible using this breadboard with the Mini Platform for Teensy 4.1. Most pins have multiple uses, but overall there is access to Serial Ports 1, 4 and 6. The second I2C1 port, the second SPI1 port and the CAN2 port. There is also access to a total of 12 analog inputs and up to 16 digital I/O.
A female header on the end of the breadboard provides access to all of the I/O pins that are brought out to the IDC connector along with 3.3V, 5V and Ground.
Power Selection
The two 4-pin female headers on the front and back sides of the solderless breadboard supply either 3.3V or 5V as well as ground to the two power rails with short jumpers. Each female header has 2 power and 2 ground connections in case you want to double up.
The voltage to be used on each of the power rails is selected using jumpers next to each power rail. In this case, the jumper is set for 3.3V operation. A ground solder point on each side of the breadboard can be used to ground a probe. A male terminal can be soldered into the location if it is desired to clip onto a ground.
Note that the female mating header is 24-pins on the breadboard adapter while the male IDC connector is 20-pins on the Mini Platform board. This is to ensure that the connectors cannot accidentally be offset when they are mated since the female header is not keyed.
