LILYGO T-Display-S3 Enclosure

Description

This gray and orange ABS enclosure fits the LILYGO T-Display-S3 with or without pins and allows access to user buttons, reset button and provides space for an internal battery.  It also has a built-in magnet for attaching to a metallic surface.

Note:  This case does not fit the LILYGO T-Display-S3 with Touch.  Currently there is no enclosure available for that product.

PACKAGE INCLUDES:

• LILYGO T-Display-S3 gray and orange enclosure
• Bag of assorted components for completing the assembly.

The enclosure is a screw-together assembly.  You will need a very small Philips jewelers style screwdriver to complete the assembly.  A very small flathead screwdriver can also work.

Step 1: Open the small component bag and carefully dump the contents someplace safe as some of the contents are very small.

Step 2: Install the orange button insert into the top half of the cover as shown here.

Step 3.  Insert the T-Display-S3 USB connector first and face down into the top half of the enclosure.  Be sure to first remove the protective film that covers the LCD display.  It is still in place in our mockup pictures.

Step 4.  Use 4 of the short screws and plastic washers to hold the module in place.  The package usually has 5 sets so you have a spare after losing one of them.  The screw head and washer capture the edge of the module as shown here.

Step 5:  Next insert the various orange pieces into the top and bottom halves of the enclosure as shown here.  If a battery is being installed, it would go in now.

Step 6:  To assemble the two halves without having the little plastic pieces fall out, it is usually easiest to tilt them both up on their edges vertically and then press the two halves together.

Step 7:  Finally, install the 2 long screws in the bottom two holes of the enclosure to hold everything in place.
